We built the site we wish we'd found when we started — plain, patient, and upfront about how it makes money.
Foothold exists for one reason: the "make money online" corner of the internet is loud, and most of it is designed to sell you something before it helps you.
You've seen it — the screaming thumbnails, the fake screenshots, the $2,000 "mentorship" waiting at the end of a free webinar. It leaves smart, capable people feeling like the whole thing is a scam, or that they're the only one who can't make it work.
We think the opposite is true. Starting a tiny online income is more achievable than it's ever been — you just need someone to explain it plainly, without the theatre. So that's what we do: we write honest, practical guides for building a small online business with the AI tools you already have, and we give them away.

Honesty over hype
We tell you what's realistic, including when something is hard, slow, or not for you. If a tool has downsides, we write them down.
Plain over clever
No jargon, no gatekeeping, no "secrets." If your smart friend could explain it over coffee, that's the standard we write to.
Free to read, always
The guides are free with no email wall. You should be able to learn everything you need here and decide in your own time.

Exactly how we make money
If the guides are free, how does this survive? Fair question — here's the whole answer.
Some of the tools we recommend — most notably Systeme.io — have affiliate programs. When we link to them and you sign up or buy, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra; the price is identical whether you use our link or not.
That model only works if you trust us, and trust only exists if we're honest. So we hold to a simple line: we only recommend tools we'd genuinely use ourselves, and we tell you the downsides too. We would rather lose a commission than point you toward something that isn't right for you. That's why our Systeme.io review spends a whole section on its limitations.
